Behind the Veil is a Jujutsu Kaisen zine that frames the series as a work of fiction and all of our favorite characters as mere actors who are playing the part. It will show what life is like on set, in the make up chair, during interviews and in and out of the spotlight.

FAQ

In this case, a fanzine is a fanmade publication in which fanart and fanfiction about any given source material is compiled and sold by fans for fans.

What's the theme of Behind the Veil?
This zine will be for the hit anime and manga Jujutsu Kaisen. It will center around an Actor AU or rather an alternate universe in which JJK is nothing more than a tv show and our beloved characters are actors playing a part. The zine will explore behind-the-scenes funny moments, with props and costumes; bloopers; encounters with the media; interviews; etc.

Is this zine for-profit or non-profit?
Behind the Veil is a profit zine project. All benefits made (once printing and relevant expenses are paid) will go to zine artists and writers.

Since this is a for-profit zine, how do you intend to send money to contributors?
Money retribution will be sent through Paypal. A Paypal account will therefore be required from our contributors.

Are minors allowed to apply?
Provided that a guardian has given them permission to open a PayPal account, so they'll get paid, anyone above sixteen years old is allowed to apply.

PG-13 and there will be no inclusion of content above that rating.

Why do you request a Discord Account?
We request a discord account for a few reasons:
Ease of communication. A Discord server allows contributors and mods to exchange questions, advice, feedback and announcements quickly and easily. You’re aware of important updates the moment they're posted, not the next time you check your mails; information is easier to find.Better follow-up on conversations. A line of conversation is one string of answers on a channel, not a dozen of emails (and it gets worse if there are many conversations going on at once, not just one thread of emails!).
Can I share the zine info on other social media?
Yes, you're absolutely free to share the zine everywhere! We'd be very happy to reach a wider public than Twitter and to spread the word about this zine.
